History and Origins of Kayakalpa
An in depth look at the ancient roots of Kayakalpa with a focus on the legacy of the
Siddhas. The Siddhas were masters of
medicine and meditation and founders of the alchemical tradition transmitted from India
to the Greeks, which formed the basis
of Hermetic alchemy in the west. The object of their practice was to attain Siddhi or
perfection. In order to achieve this created
the art and science of Kayakalpa. We will discover the work of some prominent Siddhas
such as Agasteya, Tirumular, Bogar
and Nagarjuna etc.
The Science of Rejuvenation
Within the existing medical systems of Ayurveda and Siddha, Kayakalpa is a complete
system, which stands unique within
itself. It removes degenerative conditions, and enhances regenerative chemistry by
freeing organic energy to attain harmony
in intelligence, desire and action. This section discusses the basic principles of the
Science of Rejuvenation; the two different
modes of Kayakalpa, Vatatapika and Kutipraveshika, (with a focus on Vatatapika
